He was born in the rural city of Ajilat in western Libya, where he spent the summer break in his childhood between agricultural lands, natural atmosphere and sheeps.
Walid grew up listening to the Libyan radio band’s songs, which he followed with interest.
He obtained the Bachelor of Dentistry from the University of Tripoli in 2005.
He studied dentistry, and because the music captivated him, he did not practice his specialty.
His beginnings in the music domain was in the school activity, and since his youth, he has been playing the keyboard instrument and has been ranked the first in Tripoli and Libya.
He signed with the radio band and participated in the Libyan song festivals in 1999_2000, and he excelled as a soloist performer, then he officially appointed with the band.
For 27 years he has been practicing music, dealing with all the Libyan artists, and the most one he worked with is the late artist Mohamed Hassan. The most successful song that brought them together was « gad echoug ».
